Fried Cheese Balls

Ingredients

1 pound Edam cheese, shredded

2 egg whites

6 Tablespoons all purpose flour, plus extra for dredging

vegetable oil for frying

Directions

Place shredded cheese in a bowl or standing mixer with paddle attachment, beat until the cheese pulled aways and forms a ball. Add egg whites and mix until they incorporate into the cheese. Add the flour and mix until a unified dough forms. Refrigerate the dough for about 30 minutes.

Using your palms roll the dough into small balls, Dredge the cheese balls in flour, patting off any excess and carefully drop them in batches in a frying pan or a deep fryer on 350 for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Enjoy💫
