This dish, made from a combination of simple ingredients, is a favorite for breakfast and is like a savory pudding. It can be prepared overnight. If you make it overnight, let it sit at room temperature for at least 40 minutes before baking.
☀️Ingredients
Recipe for 6
3 eggs
1 cup heavy cream
1 1/2 whole milk
1 teaspoon kosher salt
2 teaspoons of Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon of fresh chopped rosemary
1/2 onion sautéed in butter, season with salt and pepper
5 oz of salami sliced into ribbons
2 cups shredded Edam cheese (queso de bola)
1/2 cup grated mozzarella
10 oz cubed bread, I use croissant sandwich bread
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Add the cubed bread to an oven-safe dish. If you are using regular bread instead of croissants, grease the pan with butter. Mix the eggs, cream, milk, salt, and Dijon mustard. Add the salami and 1 1/2 cups of cheese. Stir everything together and spread it on top of the bread. Top with the rest of the cheeses.
Bake for 45 minutes and top with a loose foil paper for about 15- 25 more minutes until the top is golden, bubbly at the edges, and set in the center. Let it rest for at least 3 minutes before serving. Enjoy!💫
