- 8 eggs
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 8-10 slices of ham (I used Virginia or Black Forest)
- 1.5 teaspoons kosher salt

- A pinch of ground nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme or 2 teaspoons fresh thyme
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 2 cups grated Gruyère cheese
🥣Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).
- To prepare the custard, mix together the eggs, heavy cream, and Dijon mustard in a bowl. Season the mixture with kosher salt, black pepper, and ground nutmeg.
- Slice the croissants and place them in an oven-safe baking dish.
- Sprinkle a little Gruyère cheese over the croissants, followed by the slices of ham and the remaining Gruyère cheese.
- Pour the custard mixture over the layers in the baking dish and sprinkle with thyme.
- Bake in the oven for 45 to 50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly. Enjoy!💫🥂
