🇬🇷Pork Keftedes

Greek meatballs with a tzatziki sauce are a crowd-pleaser. The combination of herbs and the refreshing sauce makes them unique.

You can also serve them with a Greek salad or load a pita with meatballs, tomato, peppers, onions, feta, and fresh herbs and drizzle them with the tzatziki sauce.

There is no specific way to make Greek meatballs. You can use your favorite ground meat, although beef, lamb, and pork are the most common.

This recipe is for 12 meatballs; double it as you wish—prep and cook time 30 min.

🌿Ingredients

1 pound of ground pork

1 Tablespoon of fresh dill or 1 teaspoon dried

1 Tablespoon of fresh oregano or 1 teaspoon dried

1 tablespoon fresh mint

1 onion grated

3 minced garlic

1 1/2 teaspoon of salt

1 egg

2-3oz of Greek feta, crumbled

3 tablespoons flour

zest and juice of 1 lemon

1/4 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil

🍃Directions

Add onion, garlic, feta, herbs, lemon zest, egg, salt, and flour to the ground meat. Mixed until well blended.

Prep the meatballs and lightly dredge each meatball in flour, shaking off any excess.

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil and cook the meatballs on all sides. Just before finishing, add the lemon juice.

Decorate with fresh mint or parsley, serve with the tzatziki sauce on the side, and drizzle EVOO over the sauce.

Enjoy💫
